Saltram Wine Estate Shiraz 2008 Wine Review
Natalie's Score: 93/100Wow! Generous depths of flavour in this robust red. This is a savoury, meaty wine with fleshy dark berry aromas. There's judicious weave of oak throughout that makes it toasty great!

|If you’ve enjoyed Mamre Brook Shiraz in the past – I’m confident that you will really enjoy this release. In a warm-climate, warm-flavoured, warm-hearted way – this wine has got it going on. It’s fleshy and flavoursome, ripped with flavours of plums and blackberry, and softened further by notes of chocolate, sawdust and coffee. I wouldn’t call it overdone; I’d call it impressive in its style. There’s tannin here too but it’s in the back seat. This year, I prefer the shiraz of the Mamre Brook red duo. Almost rated it higher. Drink: 2011-2015. Score: 92 CM|
