Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Rosenblum Cellars Zinfandel 2007 Wine Review
Kent Rosenblum trained as a veterinarian before becoming an amateur winemaker and founding his winery Rosenblum Cellars. Today it is one of California’s benchmark Zinfandel producers. This gorgeous brambleberry/blackberry-rich Zin is loaded with dark fruit flavours, spice and vanilla smoke. It's full-bodied but supple: lip-smacking delicious! Crack one open at your next barbecue. Food matches: blackened salmon, back ribs. 4.5/5

Gets an extra point for value. What a great Zin. I love it when it has the fullness and richness this 2007 Rosenblum Paso Robles Zin delivers. Expect full body, black fruit with hints of species and mint. Very wide on the palate. Smokey. A finish that is here to stay... :)
Bought it in Maine (Bar Harbor) for an outstanding value of $17.
