Road 13 Vineyards Chardonnay 2010
Road 13 Vineyards Chardonnay 2010 Wine Review
Toasted almond, butterscotch and fleshy ripe peach on the nose. Full-bodied, mouth-filling and absolutely delicious. Pair with lobster in butter or roast chicken. 4.6/5

|The grapes for the 2010 Chardonnay were picked at optimum maturity and pressed, whole cluster, very gently in our bladder press. The juice was cold settled for 48 hours before being racked. Fermentation took place in a mixture of new and used barrels. Only the free run juice was used for this wine and the wine was fermented at higher temperatures to help build a wine that has great weight and mouthfeel. The wine was aged for 12 months in barrel with regular|
lees stirring to help build complexity. The 2010 Road 13 Chardonnay was aged a further 6 months in stainless steel barrels prior to bottling to allow its flavors to integrate.
The 2010 Road 13 Chardonnay has a rich gold color. The nose is intense with beautiful aromas of Meyer lemon, almond, quince paste,
and coconut. The palate shows concentration and power balanced with lively acidity. The palate is filled with mouthwatering
flavors of preserved lemon and shows a great level of purity and balance with a superb long finish.
