Cabernet nose and character here: cassis and blackcurrant aromas. This robust red wine is a blend of cabernet, merlot, shiraz and pinotage. Tannic so decant for 2 hours or cellar. Full-bodied and concentrated. Great taste for the money, especially for a WO designated wine. Previous vintages of this wine won the Gold Medal winner at Concours Mondial Bruxelles. Great dry finish.

Named Varietal Blends-Red food pairings: beef.

The 2007 vintage of this robust red wine blends 4 red wine grapes grown on the winery's estate vineyards: 32% Merlot, 29% Syrah, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Pinotage. Michel Rolland, the famous flying winemaker consultant is involved. - Community Wine Reviews
