This full-bodied baby needs cellar time! A concentrated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot of equal parts, 33% each.Classic aromas of cassis and blackcurrant and some herbal notes mid-palate. Decant for 1-2 hours.

Meritage food pairings: roasted leg of lamb with rosemary, Prime Rib roast with roasted root vegetables, venison topped with seared foie gras and a red wine reduction.

Reviews and Ratings

Warm and long, the 2010 growing season proved ideal for creating bold reds and the
Redstone Meritage is no exception. Crafted from the highest quality hand-harvested
fruit and aged 18 months in French oak, this premium blend was assembled from
equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the Redstone estate vineyard and
Cabernet Franc from the mature vines of the Van Bers vineyard. The nose is beautifully
aromatic, redolent with notes of plum and berry compote but also intoxicating aromas of
eucalyptus, sage and mint jelly. On the palate, it is broad and soft with fine tannins and notes of spice, coffee and a hint of cigar box.
