A full-bodied red wine from a lesser known grape (petite sirah). Aromas of black fruit, tar and lots of toasty oak. Great with pizza.

Petite Sirah food pairings: meaty stews.

Yet another example of California working wonders with the oft-overlooked Petite Sirah grape. Deep, warm fruit serves up blueberry pie, dark cherry, blackberry, vanilla and sweet hickory. It's dense and opulently fruity (keep in mind the "Petite" in the name refers to small grape size, not small flavours!) with a sense of raw power to the tannins. Enjoy till 2015+. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
