Incredible concentration and mouth-watering lusciousness. There's also 25 percent petite sirah to add depth and layering. Aromas of black fruit, smoke and black tea with dark spices. Terrific concentration of flavour from these old-vine grapes shows through. Remarkable, especially for the price. Long finish, great satisfaction! Pair with a grilled steak.

A Zinfandel from Lodi California is a beautiful thing, this wine will please the steak eaters in the party. Blackberry jam and bumble berry pie, with a in-your-face warming (alcohol) palate.

A beautiful deep ruby colour. This full bodied wine has aromas of blackberry jam, warm spices and vanilla. The same flavours come through on the palate with pronounced tannins and oak. A fantastic wine for grilled meat on the BBQ.

August 17, 2014: Medium ruby, the nose shows ripe dark berry, peppery, spicy notes. Full bodied, ripe berry fruit, prune, vanilla spice and heat on the palate, with a long finish turning slightly bitter/stemmy on the end. A few years in the cellar will tame some of the grippy tannins or enjoy now with a grilled striploin with black pepper.
