Quails' Gate Estate Winery Chenin Blanc 2011
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Quails' Gate Estate Winery Chenin Blanc 2011 Wine Review
Lovely citrus, white melon nose with replays of lemon intensity on the mid-palate and a white floral finish. Refreshing! 4.4/5 Chenin Blanc food pairings: oysters and shellfish.

|Our grapes are sourced from both Quails’ Gate Estate and Osoyoos vineyards. This wine is comprised of 92% Chenin Blanc and 8% Sauvignon Blanc. The 2011 growing season was cooler than average, with extreme temperature differences close to harvest, preserving the grapes natural acidity. The grapes were whole bunch pressed followed by cold fermentation, 85% in stainless steel tanks and 15% in 2 year old French oak barrels. The barrel portion of the blend provides a lush palate and complex aromas.|
