Quails' Gate Estate Winery Chenin Blanc 2010
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Quails' Gate Estate Winery Chenin Blanc 2010 Wine Review
Laser-focused refreshment with zesty notes of lime and green melon. Terrific as an aperitif or as a companion with many dishes. 4.4/5 Chenin Blanc food pairings: seafood, roast chicken, pork loin.

|Sourced from Quails' Gate vineyards in the central and south Okanagan, with an addition of 10% sauvignon blanc. The sauvignon blanc and 5% of the chenin blanc were barrel fermented in 3 year old French oak to add weight and texture to the blend. The remainder of the chenin blanc was fermented cold to capture the intense varietal character. The resulting wine is full of racy acidity and freshness. The attack is all lemon and limes with a full mid palate providing some juiciness and texture. This wine is made for food, with lemon attack making it a perfect match for oysters and other shellfish. Well worth cellaring, careful imprisonment will be rewarded with some waxy honey developed notes .|
