Dark spice and burnt fruit with tarry smoke. Tasty in a full-throttle way. Zinfandel on steroids. Needs charred meats.
Primitivo food pairings: lamb, beef, chick pea curry.
Luscious Lamb Wine

|Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:|
A beautiful example of a Primitivo! There are rich notes of dried fruit, leather and earth. On the palate the dark berries, brown sugar, roasted smoky marshmallows, and currants with notable heat. Great layers of complexity and true elegance, well done!
|From producer, Luigi Antonio, this Italian Primitivo from Puglia won the 2012 International Wine & Spirit Competition. Poderi Angelini Di Manduria (2012) is made from the Primitivo di Manduria grape grown in Salento. The wine is dark and spicy with a meaty, smoky nose. - Community Wine Reviews|
