rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The 2008 Planets De Prior Pons is composed of 40% Cariñena, 40% Garnacha, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 5% Syrah and was aged for 12 months in French and American oak. It is a medium bodied, integrated wine with intense aromas of black currant, blackberry, figs, prune, dark chocolate, leather, oak and vanilla. It has a good fruit/tannin/acidity balance, grippy tannins (decant for 1 hour) and a long, smooth and silky finish. Food friendly, but sipper in my view; drink now-2023+. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 92 pts - recommended buy/amazing value/grab by the case. Tasted Jan/13.

Dried fruit cake, red plum, bing cherry, a hint of briar, herb, and warm spice. Gorgeous fruit, with great delineation. 92 points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
The region of Priorat is located about 100 kilometers west of Barcelona. This wine is a blend of 40% Carinena, 40% Garnacha, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 5% Syrah grapes. It offers dark red fruit aromas and a full bodied weight. Source: Winery

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
