Gorgeous! Floral (wild violets) with some exotic spice and wild dark fruit. On the palate there's an immense lift so it's not heavy yet this is a richly complex wine. Wow, best brunello in a while.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Incredible wine for the price. As a Brunello cheerleader, how can you get better than this? Beautiful black and red fruit, spice, herb, and garden flowers. I'm glad I held onto it for a while. Drink now through 2023. 94 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Opens with dark concentration and ripe berry fruit with layers of plum, blackberry, dark chocolate, pipe tobacco, cherry liqueur, cola and underbrush. It offers a wonderful 360-degree portrait of Sangiovese Grosso. Tight structure, integration and loads of fruity intensity. Drink after 2018. Score – 94.
