Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I was looking for a wine to pair with Bourbon Chicken and this fit the bill perfectly.

Juicy with plenty of fruit; ripe cherry, blackberry and black plums. The 14 g/l of sugar was the perfect foil for the sweet bbq sauce and both the wine and the sauce held a hint of smokiness that complimented each other. There was a bit of garlic in the sauce as well but this is a wine big enough to accompany it.

Would also pair nicely with bbq'd burgers or lip smacking ribs!

Tasted August 2017
This Primitivo Di Manduria from the Puglia wine region is dark chocolate and a mouthful of black and blueberry flavours. This Zinfandel is produced from select grapes from the area of San Marzano in the Salento region of Puglia. - Community Wine Reviews
