Reviews and Ratings

Dry quince, Asian pear on this zesty Alsatian white wine made from Pinot Gris grapes. Perfect for seafood. MINE: A lovely, sunlit wine with attractive aromas of ripe peach and pear. The moderate sweetness is perfectly balanced with refreshing acidity so this wine will be divine with Asian and spicy dishes as well as those with some sweetness like glazed ham. OTHER: Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Fresh nose of pear and melon, followed by a palate giving pear, apple and honey dew melon. Dry, medium-bodied, with pear on finish. Lovely Alsatian PG. Tasted April 2016. OTHER: This is typically a rich and robust style of Pinot Gris that bears virtually no resemblance to the less textured and weighty versions from Italy. You will find this to be smooth, generous and intensely flavoured, and dry - though nudging the edge of off-dry. Elegant, vibrant and fresh with a wonderful textured mouthfeel, it will be a great companion to grilled shrimp with a mildly spiced dipping sauce (Vintages Panel, updated). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
