A smooth, supple medium- to full-bodied red wine with mouth-watering acidity and tart cherry flavours with some earthy notes. This wine needs food like pasta in tomato sauce or spicy Italian sausages -- anything with some acidity and zing itself.

Reviews and Ratings

Erica Klein rated this wine as 100/100
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Robust ripe red cherry, tart cranberry and a eucalyptus minty heat on the aromas and palate. Tannins are on the "grippier" side for a Chianti Classico but well balanced with a luscious acidity. I am definitely buying more this wine. What to pair? Pizza!
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Intense red fruit aromas, especially redcurrants and raspberries, are amplified by light hints of vanilla and coffee sensations. This full-bodied wine is pleasantly lingering with soft, sweet tannins.

Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Arômes intenses de fruits rouges, surtout le cassis rouge et les framboises qui sont amplifiées par des touches légcres de vanille et des sensations de café. Ce vin corsé est agréablement durable avec des tannins doux et sucrés.

Peppoli grapes are grown on the estate vineyards in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. The wine is aged in oak barrels before being bottled. - Community Wine Reviews
