Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Wow ! Remember those first Aussie wines you tasted years ago? This one is a blast from the past. It's got it all. Enticing aromas of berries. All about power. On the palate the Australian version of balance of fruit vs oak. Coonawarra scores!
This Shiraz is from the terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, South Australia. "Coonawarra" is an Aboriginal word meaning "Honeysuckle".
The first vines were planted by John Riddoch at Yallum, South Australia in 1890 with the main grape varietal being Shiraz. This wine shows that Coonawarra can be great for Shiraz as well as Cabernet Sauvignon with its black fleshy fruit flavours, spice and anise. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
