Loaded with oak, toast and smoke on the nose along with dark chocolate and mocha notes. Black fruit and tar on the palate. Great for hearty meat dishes. Full-bodied. Nice price.
Shiraz food pairings: pepper steak, roast beef.

*NOTE I am reviewing the 2011. Bright red and clear colour. This wine is a little under-ripe, with notes of sour cherry, rasberry, bell pepper, earth, green herb, green peppercorn, and a little bit of sweet tobacco. Would make a great food-friendly wine for pairing with pizza.
