Silky with a medium- to almost full-bodied weight. Lovely tart cherries dance across the supple palate. Long finish. Amazing price for Burgundy. Nice to see Canadian involvement here.

Marchand-Tawse is the Burgundy collaboration between Canadian winemaking wunderkind Pascal Marchand and Moray Tawse, owner of Niagara’s Tawse Winery. 2009 was an excellent vintage in Burgundy, making this Bourgogne an exceptional value. Fruit mainly from Pommard with just a touch of Marsannay, bottled in March. Pretty red fruit aromas. Bright and with quite a nice depth of flavour. Good. Medium-bodied & Fruity.
