Reviews and Ratings

rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Light and crisp with an earthiness tinged, big, sour cherry nose. Tart berry fruit on the palate with a balance of violets. The juicy finish is furthered along by a cranberry/citrus zing. This needs a little food to balance out all that acidity, but slightly chilled with a slice of prosciutto, and it's all good.
Gambero Rosso awarded this wine 2 Glasses (out of 3) (signifying a very good to excellent wine) in their 2012 edition. They did not supply a written review. This single-vineyard Barbera has very attractive aromas of raspberry, cherry and cranberry. It is dry, smooth and fruity with a touch of licorice and menthol. Fine, lingering finish. Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
