Natalie's Score: 91/100

Classic and aristocratic in its styling, balance and finesse: a fancy way of saying that this is seriously good wine! Rich aromas of blackberry, cassis and blackcurrant wrapped in cigar box with a dark spice-infused finish.

More Wine Reviews and Ratings

Bella Mcdowell rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Aromas of berries, vanilla, and toasted oak. Tastes of dark cherries, plum, and vanilla with supple tannins and a smooth oaky finish. I love to enjoy this Cab at a summer BBQ with a nice grilled steak!
What a gigantic improvement J. Lohr has been making lately in its Cabernets and Bordeaux blends. This latest to come out is a single vineyard beauty, rich in tannic structure, with deep, complex flavours of blackberries, cocoa dust, cedar and Indian spices. Appeals now for sheer deliciousness. Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
