Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Only the second vintage for this Pinot Grigio from New Zealand - the land of Sauvignon Blanc! Pale lemon colour and aromatic. Citrus, Asian pear, apple, white peach, herbal, floral with a hint of toffee on the nose and palate. Clean, refreshing acidity. Perfect with salad, Asian Fusion, or patio sipping. $2.00 off for limited time.
Tasted: November 2014
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

On the light side with vanilla and citrus notes and moderate acidity.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The philosophy of Oyster Bay is to produce fine, distinctively regional wines with glorious fruit flavours. To capture the subtle flavours of Pinot Grigio, we use a selection of yeasts, and lees stirring to enhance the wines softness and texture. To ensure purity of flavour, we use no oak or malolactic ferment. Elegant, crisp and altogther refreshing.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
