The texture of this wine strikes me first: a wraps around the top and bottom of my tongue and I don't want to swallow that caress. Black fruit, full-bodied with smoke and mocha. Lovely, lovely.

Lori Kilmartin - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I had this wine in my cellar for a few years and pulled it out for a special birthday celebration. Medium rare prime rib with mashed potatoes and garlic roasted carrots were on the menu and this was the perfect match! Still lots of life with aromas of smoke and blackberry. Medium acidity and medium tannins that were were still evident but very silky! Probably would have lasted a few more years!

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
