A mature Spanish red wine that's almost past peak with dried fruit and ferrous-iron aromas. Full-bodied and smooth; more bones than flesh. This wine was aged in oak barrels for 12 months. There were 56,000 bottles produced. Pair with a t-bone steak.

Food pairings: pizza, pasta, rare steaks, pork tenderloin, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Montefino's Tinto Reserva (2010) is a red wine blend of Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Aragonez (Tempranillo). This wine is mature with leather, meat and smoke notes. Pairs with smoked, dried beef and ham. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
