Savoury with a full-bodied weight and black fruit. This wine has a tarry black heart and lots of depth and concentration of flavours. It's a blend of Syrah, Carignan and Grenache grapes that has won the Gold Medal in the Decanter World Wine Awards for previous vintages. A pleasantly bitter finish. Decant for 2 hours.

Food pairings: rare cuts of meat.

Impressive aromas of fruit, licorice, cassis, cherry, tar, dark smoke and mineral rise from the glass. Excellent concentration of fruit flavour and an intensely rich and textured mouth-feel with grippy tannins. An outstanding wine value that will be well worth following in your cellar for 5+ years, or enjoying tonight, decanted. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Nov. 2012
