Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Monser Feteascã Neagrã (translation: Black Maiden) is a dry red wine from Romania. Light ruby red in colour, the nose shows a nice melange of tart berries, plum, and rustic notes. The medium-full bodied, the palate has nice layers of tart berries, plum, Autumn leaves, cedar, and spice. A great wine to enjoy with hearty cold weather meals. Decant one hour and enjoy 2015-2020. Tasted November 2015. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Wineboy rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

very peppery nose, with black cherry and raw wood. A fair bit of acidity. Lighter style wine. A more earthy melange of flavours.
Produced by Dealurile Hu_ilor Senator Prodimpex, this full-bodied Romanian red wine is made from Feteascã Neagrã grapes which translates to Black Maiden for the dark colour of the wines it produces. - Community Wine Reviews
