This Bordeaux-inspired red from one of B.C.’s top producers blends Old World finesse with New World power. The winery hand-picks and sorts grapes from the best blocks in its Oliver and Osoyoos estate vineyards. The wine is aged in French barrels for 14.5 months before bottling. All of this coddling results in a wine that delivers hedonistic ripples of pleasure on the palate. A core of blackcurrant and cassis is enclosed in a cigar box. Perfect for when you cash in your Google stock.

Oculus food pairings: beef wellington, rib roast with coffee rub, venison, pork tenderloin.

Captivating aromas of black cherry fruit, dark chocolate and shaved vanilla bean lead the way for densely packed flavours of blackberries, plum and bittersweet ganache. Deep, complex, intense and concentrated. The long, full, persistent finish has ripe and well-integrated tannins providing a rich, inviting mouthfeel and the structure to hold up well over the next decade or more.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
