Fantastic chardonnay with big, buttery oaky aromas and layers of fleshy peach and pear fruit. Glorious in its length, spectacular in its depth.

Miner’s “Wild Yeast” bottling has been and remains one our favorite Napa Valley Chardonnays, and in this outing, the wine hits the mark once again. Reminding of ripe apples and citrus, and filled out with lots of very rich, but never overbearing, oak spice, it is a full and wonderfully expressive take on the grape. Long and lively and weighty and full, it exhibits very fine balance and, if a fairly big wine, it still shows a certain sense of polish and grace. We expect that it will improve a bit if set aside for a couple of years. Score: 91 Source: Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wines
