Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas are primarily black pepper and violets, with some red berry notes. Smooth, medium body and some smooth tannin, lots of berry flavours with some malty chocolate notes and some warmer spice (nutmeg). Very plush on the palate. Try with braised short ribs or other hearty dishes.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Presentation: Modern yet medieval (like the Templar knights but with a different logo), with a touch of colour
Appearance: Medium to dark ruby colour
Nose: Medium intensity aromas of perfume, dark plums and floral (violets), with an uncharacteristic note of mangos
Taste: Dry, medium body, medium acidity, medium tannins, red berries, dark chocolate and sweet spices (cinnamon), red licorice
Finish: Medium finish
Overall impression: A good Syrah. The empty glass has a hint of rhubarb aromas. Try it with chili dish or something with a demi-glaze.
Value: 3.5/5

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
