Reviews and Ratings

A full-bodied Californian Syrah with lots of aromas and flavours of chocolate, mocha, cocoa and coffee from lavish oak aging. Some black plums underneath. MINE: A huge, dense Californian Syrah with aromas of black fruit, anise, pepper and spice. OTHER: Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Michael David's 6th Sense Lodi Syrah shows rich dark berries, stewed fruit, and baking spice. At 15% this is a big and bold wine that would be terrific with braised beef, BBQ'd ribs, and hearty stews. Tasted November 2015. 90+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca. OTHER: Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Berries and candied fruit are the aromas with a perfect reply. On the palate it delivers power, heavy mouthfeel and alcohol. Don't drink this wine if you are allergic to alcohol ! LOL. Recommended. OTHER: Big but well poised and supple, this luxuriously ripe-tasting, mouthfilling, semisweet wine has enormous fruit flavors of black cherry and black currant wrapped in velvety, fine-grained tannins. It's so smooth that it's firm structure is not readily apparent. Editors' Choice. Score - 90 (Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, June 1, 2017). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
