McManis Family Vineyards Zinfandel 2011 Wine Review
Natalie's Score: 89/100Woodsmoke and whispered campfire stories. Full-bodied, warm like a tartan blanket with drowsy-eyed half attention. Plus with fleshy black and purple plums.
Zinfandel food pairings: burgers, dry-rubbed ribs, mildly spiced chicken wings. Heavenly Hamburger Wine

A good Zinfandel at a great price. Some jam flavours and dark fruit make this Zinfandel a great BBQ burger wine.

I love the wines from the McManis Family and especially love a California Zinfandel. This was soft, silky and smooth. Flavors of raspberry and strawberry with a hint of caramel and vanilla make for a very nice wine.
|Winner of a Gold Medal at the 2013 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Profound notes of sweet strawberry, vanilla, and bumbleberry pie. The palate is loaded with juicy, generous and sun-drenched fruit. The finish offers a pleasant suggestion of sweet baking spices. Made in a very approachable and crowd-pleasing style, this can be enjoyed over the next 3 years. Perfect for barbecue season. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, May 2013|
