Zesty lemon with some candle-like lanolin. Lots of mouth-watering acidity. Pair with seafood in a cream sauce.

Semillon food pairings: perch filets in Newburg sauce, pan-fried lemon herb crusted walleye (or pickerel), salmon croquettes.

Reviews and Ratings

McGuigan Bin Series No. 9000 (2016) is a New South Wales, Hunter Valley Semillon. Hunter Valley Semillon is distinct with its grassy, lemon-honey, lanolin-like nose and flavours. Great length and mouth-watering acidity too. The winery sources its best Semillon grapes from the Hunter Valley, a region famous for this varietal. Honey and toast notes that will develop with bottle age. Drink now or cellar for three years. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
