Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby red, almost black in colour, the nose screams black currant, plum, fig, sweet spice, and menthol. A huge wine in every way! Bold dark berry, dried plum, fig, and charcoal on the palate. Intensity in aromas and flavour, this is a stellar Amarone. Highly recommended! Tasted November 2015. 94 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A denser, more structured style of Amarone from Masi. Subtle botrytis notes on the nose interweave nicely with macerated black fruits, spice and dried floral aromas. Full bodied with big, chunky tannins that frame the cedar, cigar box scented finish.
This towering Italian red wine is a great cellar wine. Decant for 1-2 hours before serving with steak. - Community Wine Reviews
