Reviews and Ratings

rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This opulent wine offers a deep ruby purple robe, and aromas of fennel, cherries jubilee and experienced oak. Rich black cherry fruit is balanced by medium tannins and fresh acidity. Full bodied with a generous length. Decant now to enjoy the full bouquet, but has the concentration to last many years. Tasted Jan 2014.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Deep opaque red with violet tinged edges. Rich, powerful bouquet with aromas of baked fruit, cooked with herbs and spices. Cherry fruit preserve and cinnamon are the major components in a long-lasting and attractive finish.

Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Rouge opaque foncé avec des bordures marquées de violet. Bouquet riche et puissant avec des arômes de fruits cuits avec des herbes et épices. Les conserves de cerises et de cannelle sont les éléments principaux du fini long et attrayant.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
