Stunning richness and complexity on this ethereal, elegant Californian Pinot Noir. Notes of fleshy cherry and spice. Cool climate Pinot at its best. Pair with grilled chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: mushroom and truffle dishes, coq au vin, veal scaloppini, grilled pork chops..

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Another wine from Torres wonderful Russian River Valley Venture. Slightly more serious than the easier, more accessible Masía. This one is more savoury and classic Pinot, for California.
The colour is actual burgundy red - opaque in the centre.
The alcohol seemed rather intense, even on the nose. It brings a medicinal sarsaparilla aroma that is very appealing. Cherry, rosebush, pomegranate, charred wood, sage, rubber, and currant jam.
The flavours are intense and vary widely. Wide range of red and dark fruit - cherries, pomm, blackberry, and craisin. Lots of beet juice notes and a well integrated oak (they almost exclusively use French, bless them).
This is an excellent Pinot for the Pinot Noir fan base AND an excellent wine for the North American "I don't get Pinot" crowd. It's the Abraham Lincoln of Pinots.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous! Lush, medium- bodied, Pinot Noir from Sonoma with lots of complexity. Vibrant, red berry aromas and flavours. Christmas spices and earthiness found in the finish. Well structured with refined tannins. Pair with mushroom risotto.
Pam Hatton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby colour with a nose of cherry, clove and a bit of earth. Ripe but restrained red fruit, and spice and some earthiness on the palate. A medium bodied Pinot Noir with noticeable but smooth tannins. Balanced acidity makes this a food friendly wine. Marimar Estate wines are always a favourite when you can get a hold of them!
