Nice interplay of dark fruits across the palate on this mouth-filling Shiraz. Layers of flavour that coat the palate with a terrific texture and weight. Polished tannins add a suppleness and slippery smoothness to this wine. A hedonist's delight.

Shiraz food pairings: blackened chicken, blue cheese.

This is the flagship Shiraz for the Magpie Estate, with all of the fruit grown in the Barossa Valley. Very black in aroma and flavour. Full-bodied. Maure vines are grown in several vineyards for this wine. Old traditions of open fermenters are used to create a wine to lust after. - Community Wine Reviews
