Reviews and Ratings

The dessert wine gained a smooth, deep, rich, complex character that blended raisins, toasted nuts and crème brûlée. Pair this with pudding, crème brûlée and hard cheeses. MINE: This fortified wine is a blend of an aged dry Olorso and sweet Pedro Ximenez that are returned to cask to age in humid, warm conditions of Lustau's Sarcristia, emulating conditions of the ships that sailed in the16th Century to the Americas to deliver the goods lashed to their decks - casks of Sherry. The dessert wine aged and developed rich, dried fruit, nutty, crème brûlée character. This dessert wine has all of that full-bodied character and complexity with good acidity, sweetness and warmth. Great length. OTHER: [From the French] Excellent tawny wine with a rich and inimitable style, highlighting accents of smoke , burnt caramel and dates. A tempting invitation to discover (finally!) Or to rediscover the exquisite charm of this Andalusian specialty. Score - 4.5 Stars (out of 5) (Nadia Fournier, winealign.com, Feb. 8, 2016).. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
