Reviews and Ratings

Kimberly Inksater - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A Rioja white made from Viura and Malvasia grape varietals. Vibrant citrus, stone fruit and mineral aromas. The flavours are citrus and a hint of sweet orange blossom followed by bitter nut and orange pith on the finish. A unique wine that can be paired with a variety of appetizers such as roasted nuts, raw oysters, and strong soft cheeses.
Luis Cañas Fermentado En Barrica Blanco (2015) is a white wine blend of 85% Viura and 15% Malvasia Riojana. The wine was matured in oak barrel and allowed to rest on its lees for four months giving the wine structure, mouthfeel complemented by laser acidity. A very fresh wine to be enjoyed with seafood. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
