Smooth and full-bodied with aromas and flavours of plush black plums. A hickory smoke finish. Lovely but over-priced.

More Wine Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This wine is fantastically expressive, featuring milk chocolate and black fruit on the nose. More of the same on the palate, with black plum, raisins, cassis, and chalky minerals. Super long and extracted, with some briar tension. Drink now through 2030. 94 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)

Considered by many to be one of the most influential winemakers in the world, Pomerol vintner and international consultant, Michel Rolland partners with Washington State wine visionary Allen Shoup to produce this limited release wine.
Wonderful intensity of fruit, with a vivid array of black currant, cocoa, violet and smoky aromas that lead to a full-bodied mid-palate marked by ripe blackberry flavors. Rich and complex, yet pure and focused, with supple tannins that provide a silky and prolonged finish.
75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
