A robust, smoky southern French red wine blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Savoury and lip-smacking juicy with great depth and length. Aromas of charred black fruit, smoke and spice. Very smooth as is common in the Gigondas region of the Rhone Valley. Pair with grilled meats.

Food pairings: barbecued beef steak.

Reviews and Ratings

In the glass, this full-bodied French red wine is a deep garnet colour with cherry compote on the nose mingling with spices and a peppery finish. Pair with game and poultry is a flavourful sauce. The Gigondas wine region in the Rhone Valley is adjacent to the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, just as is Vacqueyras. Polished tannins. Produced by Cave des Vignerons à Sablet. - Community Wine Reviews
