Robust with a good grip on the palate (decant 1-2 hours). Offers aromas and flavours of black tart cherries, smoke, cedar and toasty oak. Cries out for a juicy, rare steak. Pierre Laplace is known for his deft handling of the Tannat grape.

Food pairings: steak.
