Vintages Wine Panel: Vouvray is the most significant white wine appellation in the Touraine. The appellation’s soil composition has proven ideal for the Chenin Blanc grape variety. Fermented at low temperatures to slowly extract all the flavours possible, this medium-dry, superbly balanced Chenin Blanc displays layers of peach, pear, lemon and apricot. A great sipper, or let it develop in the cellar (2-3 years). My note: I love it! Although it’s off-dry, there’s no cloying sweetness, only mouth-watering extra-ripe peach and pears. This is a lovely wine for those who love flavour but not heavy oak.

Vouvray Chenin Blanc food pairings: mildly spiced seafood dishes.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
