Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Nice aromas of black cherries, strawberry, sweet cherry, new leather, violets, and vanilla. The taste is very smooth black and sweet cherry with some well integrated tannins. Perfect for lighter red meat dishes or medium and hard cheeses.
Cave de Rasteau was founded in 1925 and is now one of the oldest wineries in the Rhone Valley. The vineyard soils are mostly clay-chalk with deep deposits and veins of stone. This is a blend of old vine Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre with finishes with dried tobacco leaves, mulled spice and anise. Serve with roasted veal, poultry and strong cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
