L.A. Cetto Petite Sirah 2010 Wine Review
Natalie's Score: 89/100Spicy with black pepper and luscious ripe blackberry aromas. Smooth and full-bodied with incredible layers of flavour. You simply can't beat this price. Stock up for your parties for the next year or two. Pair with hearty meat dishes.
Petite Sirah food pairings: sloppy beef-cheeks tacos, slow-cooked beef. Best Beef Wine

2 things interest me here ... Mexican wine + Petite Sirah (3 things if you include the price and 4 if you include the fact that it was recommended by my vintages guy).
Complex for an inexpensive wine - the brightness of the fruit his you at the back of the tongue and lingers. I was impressed and will purchase again!

A great example of some bottled Mexican sunshine. Ripe and full on the palate with lots of juicy, dark berry fruit, some minerality, and a little spice on the nose. All together, with the dried fruit and lavender on the long finish, make this a good deal of a wine.
|With its fruity nose of berries and oak, it could pass as a Zinfandel. But it’s better balanced than most Zins, with spicy notes that flatter slow-cooked beef and a firm acidity to cut through the fat. Source: thegridto.com, Aug. 8, 2012|
