Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fantastic food pairing wine, with great acidity, well balanced. Presenting with vivid blueberry, plum, cassis, savoury herb. Medium tannins, medium plus acidity. Pair with braised brisket, or a charcuterie plate, and easily enjoyable sipping on it's own. Tasted 2014 vintage August 2017. 89 points. BespokeTastings
This Western Cape Shiraz from KWV Cathedral Cellars is a full-bodied and robust South African red wine with a nose of cassis, tanned leather and dark spice. The 2014 vintage of the robust Cathedral Cellar Shiraz offers superb value. The winery's cellar is cathedral vaulted with stained glass thus the name. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
