Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Before we start, this is a pricey wine, but well worth every penny! If you are looking for a palate shattering experience of pure decadence, or if you are thinking to yourself, it is almost Greek Easter, lets celebrate! Then this is the wine for you!

Much like the volcanic islands in the mediteraenian region, this wine is grown in volcanic soil, thus producing earth notes and characteristics which really impress on the tongue. This is one of Greeces finest grown on the island of Santorini. Assyrtiko is a varietal that produces very dry wines with a firm earthy, mineral taste of the soil combined with citrus notes.

This is truly a complex wine.

On the nose there are green vegetal notes, honey, green cucumbers and warm peaches.

On the palate there are the citrus notes of lime zest, firm minerality from the soil, undertones of toast and honey. The wine ends with a sea saltyness. Absolutely delicious! I give this an astounding 96!

What would I pair it with.... just drink it!!!!

Bottoms up!
