Konzelmann Estate Winery Canada Red Zweigelt 2009
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Konzelmann Estate Winery Canada Red Zweigelt 2009 Wine Review
A simple tasty red with smooth texture with fresh red berry aromas. Soft tannins and a little spiciness on the finish. 4.1/5 Zweigelt food pairings: cheese and ham carbonara, paghetti bolognese with a healthy dose of parmesan cheese, goats cheese and game meats.

|It is easy to see why the Zweigelt grape has been a staple for Konzelmann for nearly twenty years! A dominant scent of tri-coloured peppercorns hang over|
subtle notes of raspberry and bitter cocoa. On the palate, there is a refrain of pepper and a soothing warmth which give way to an exchange between tart cranberry and a
touch of juicy sweetness.
