Reviews and Ratings

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright bubblegum pink color. Aromas of pink grapefruit, strawberry, and cranberry. A touch of the gooseberry found in this winery's more well known Sauvignon blanc.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The colour of this rose is so intense and attractive. Made from Merlot grapes, the nose displays strawberry, cherry, peach and pepper. Dry, and well structured. This rose has tannins, which isn't uncommon, but nice to see. A terrific wine to enjoy with spring salads, pan seared fish, or enjoy on its own. Would be great chilled with friends on a patio. Tasted February 2015. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Shelley Harris rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A refreshing rose full of fresh fruit aromas and cranberry taste. A lovely wine for a summertime picnic of chicken salad wraps and cheese and crackers.
Jane LeFresne rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of strawberry, gooseberry, pink grapefruit.

Flavours of pink grapefruit, strawberry. Very Nice acidity.
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

I had a lot of fun discovering wines from New Zealand at the New Zealand Wine Fair in Montreal May 5. The Kim Crawford Pansy! was the only rosé at event and was delicious. Smooth flavour full of red berry fruits. A lovely pick for hot summer days.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Kim Crawford Pansy! Rose 2014 is made from Merlot grapes grown in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Bright coral with a yummy strawberry nose. The palate gives strawberries and raspberries. Dry, well-balanced mouthfeel with a medium berry finish.
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The nose is a bit like entering a victorian glasshouse, with exotic plants and butterflies fluttering around you. It has a satin feel on the palate, but does pack some weight. A bit full bodied for a poolside sip, it would be great with a classic shrimp cocktail with that red sauce, fish and chips, or roasted pork. Fun wine.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A rosé that totally puts you in a summer mood! Nice strawberry, guava, kiwi, watermelon and grassy notes. Balanced acidity, light bodied, short crisp finish. I am tempted to pair this with pavlova (with all the exotic fruit present).
Chris Coughlin - WSET level 3 grad rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Low intensity aromas of strawberry, raspberry and raspberry leaf, give way to nice palate of strawberry and spice with raspberry finish. Grilled turkey breast or pork would pair nicely.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pretty in pink! Clear pale pink salmon in the glass. Medium (-) intensity aromas and flavours of strawberry, raspberry, honey, grapefruit pith. Vegetal component on the palate. Mouthwatering acidity. This dry Rose would pair well with roasted pork, battered fish, seafood.
Serve well chilled.
Tasted: August 2014
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Intensely pink-red like candy apple. Nose: candied fruit like Twizzlers cherry licorice, cotton candy and candy apple. Medium-bodied, off dry, cranberry, cough candy cherry, - medium - low acidity, short tart berry finish. Straight forward serve well-chilled with salads such as a Waldorf.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Medium salmon colour, this Merlot rose has watermelon, strawberry and green herb on the nose. Medium-light bodied, peppery, watermelon, strawberry and green pepper appear on the palate. An alcohol note persists at the back of the tongue on the finish however and would recommend with food rather than a sipper by itself. Tasted April 2015
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

I usually stay away from really pink rosés... This one is made with Merlot but the nose was full of citrus and gooseberry... Which reminded me of Sauvignon blanc... Anyhow, it doesn't taste like a rosé either... The confused sommelier in me finds that intriguing, but when I want a rosé I want a rosé...
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

Plummy, cherry, piney nose
All echoed on the palate
Herby finish
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Brimming with the inviting aromas of summer berry fruits, the palate reveals an abundance of ripe strawberries and a soft creamy texture. Refreshing and approachable!

Tom Vigeant reviewed this wine as follows:

Enticing red berry aromas with a bit of citrus. Flavours follow same profile. Crisp lively acidity. Medium bodied, dry rose.
