Reviews and Ratings

Martin Geleynse rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Jackson Estate Series is a small cuvée of 7,000 cases and a really impressive wine. The mountain vineyards seem to dominate the wine's character, with moderately high but sweet tannin, briary blackberry and cassis fruit, and a crushed rock minerality present. The final blend was 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest the other Bordeaux varietals. This wine was about ready to go into the bottle right after I tasted it. Score - 91-94. (Robert Parker Jr., robertparker.com, Oct. 29, 2015)
From Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California Kendall-Jackson Jackson Estate (2013) is their Jack Estate Series, a blend of nearly 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance in a smattering of Bordeaux style grapes. The climate is cooler in this mountain vineyard lending good acidity and freshness to the wine. This is a smaller bottling of about 7,000 cases. - Community Wine Reviews

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
