Crisp, clean and fresh: just what you expect (and want) from unoaked, cool-climate Chardonnay. Aromas of green apple, green citrus and chives. Great as an aperitif or companion to seafood.

Chardonnay food pairings: smoked trout and warm fingerling potato salad or with rich and creamy dishes, seafood risotto or cracked Dungeness crab with drawn butter.

Reviews and Ratings

Kenton rated this wine as 100/100 with the following review:

Had with a mushroom, chicken risotto. Very nice matcha
This Chardonnay embraces its time in stainless steel tank, expressing pure aromas of fresh fruit and minerality. The palate is wonderfully bright but not without substance, making sure to remind you that you are in fact drinking Chardonnay, not Pinot Grigio.

The Unoaked Chardonnay 2013 is a true expression of the chardonnay grape. Hand
harvested, sorted and gently de-stemmed followed by whole-berry pressing. e juice was
then cold settled in stainless steel and fermented at cooler temperatures to assure the greatest freshness of fruit. After fermentation this wine was racked immediately in the same style as our award winning aromatic varietals thus retaining its fresh crisp fruit flavours.

AROMA
A lifted aroma of ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple, melon and papaya. Clean citrus
flavours and t=fine mineral characters add complexity.

PALATE
This is a fresh lively wine with pear, quince and passion fruit flavours. It has a soft supple texture with sweet fruit and yeast characters balanced by a clean, citrus finish. Alluring and exotic with notes of ripened peach, mango and fresh lime. An explosion of flavour with fresh balanced acidity, a truly impressive wine.
