Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From the only distillery on Scotland's beautiful wind-swept Isle of Arran, this Single Malt Whisky shows a peaty, smoky nose with a palate giving vanilla, herbal notes, cinnamon and peat. Hints of spicy caramel on finish. Pair with a good book and fireplace on a stormy evening. Good value at this price point. #RobbieBurnsDay

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Ambrosia in a glass! Here we have in incredible Independently bottled Scotch from the Isle of Arran Distillery and it's a steal! Flavours of candied orange peels, butterscotch, sweet spice and toasted hazelnuts are superbly layered. A fine, smooth yet mellow whisky to enjoy time and again. Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Arran single carries the name of the celebrated Scottish poet and lyricist, Robert Burns, on the label making this a great value-priced pick to enjoy this Robby Burns Day! Slight straw golden colour with a good dose of peat, caramel, sweet spice and cereal notes on the nose and palate. This Scotch would be a great one to enjoy in a Whisky Sour or serve neat with a splash of water to soften and permit its rich flavour to shine bright. Tasted January 2017. 90 points. From one of the last independent distilleries in Scotland on the Isle of Arran, this single malt whisky is elegant, smooth with notes of spice, malt and honey on the nose and palate, fruity with a hazelnut finish. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
